Bank7 Corp., the parent company of Oklahoma City-based Bank7, has signed a definitive agreement to purchase roughly 71% of Century Financial Services Corporation, the holding company for Century Bank in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The deal, announced today, gives Bank7 a controlling interest in the institution.
The acquisition marks a strategic expansion for Bank7 into the New Mexico market. Century Bank operates several branches in the Santa Fe area and has a established local presence. Under the terms of the stock purchase agreement, Bank7 will take over the majority stake, though specific financial terms of the transaction were not immediately disclosed.
Bank7 executives said the move aligns with their long-term growth strategy, allowing them to enter a new geographic region with a solid banking partner. The deal is expected to close after customary regulatory approvals and other closing conditions are met. Once finalized, Century Bank will operate as a subsidiary of Bank7 Corp., with its existing management team expected to remain in place to ensure continuity for customers and employees.
The transaction reflects ongoing consolidation in the community banking sector, where larger regional players often look to acquire smaller institutions to expand their footprint. For Bank7, which has focused primarily on the Oklahoma market, this deal provides a foothold in the Southwest.
