Galloway Capital Partners has publicly endorsed PodcastOne's decision to form a special committee and bring on a financial advisor to review strategic alternatives aimed at boosting shareholder value. The investment firm, along with its affiliates, holds a stake in PodcastOne and has filed a Schedule 13D with the Securities and Exchange Commission regarding its position.
In a statement, Galloway said it believes PodcastOne's current public market valuation falls well short of what its content portfolio and advertising business are actually worth. The firm described the board's move as a necessary step toward closing that gap and unlocking value that has so far gone unrecognized by the market.
The announcement signals growing pressure from investors who feel the company's share price does not reflect the strength of its underlying assets. By forming the special committee and hiring an outside advisor, PodcastOne's board is now formally examining options that could include a sale, merger, or other transaction.
Galloway's support adds weight to that process and suggests the firm intends to stay engaged as the review moves forward. The company has not set a timeline for when the strategic review might conclude or what specific alternatives the committee will prioritize.
