I keep buying Alphabet because every quarter hands me a new reason to hold and add. This is the one AI position where the receipts arrive on schedule, the moat is visible in the numbers, and the price still lets me add without holding my nose. I am compounding into a business that is now printing cash from three distinct engines: search revenue that refuses to shrink, cloud growth that finally turned profitable, and a YouTube ad business that keeps gaining share.
The market seems to treat Alphabet like a slow-moving utility, but the data tells a different story. Capital expenditures are going up, and the payoff is showing up in operating margins. The AI investments are not vague promises. They are live products. Cloud customers are signing multi-year deals. Google's Gemini models are being baked into Workspace, Android, and the core search product. Every time I look at the earnings release, I see another metric that confirms the flywheel is spinning faster.
The valuation is what keeps me comfortable. Alphabet trades at a multiple that does not reflect the growth rate of its high-margin segments. Compared to other mega-cap tech names, it still looks cheap. I do not need the stock to double. I just need it to keep doing what it has done for the last five years: grind higher, pay for itself through buybacks, and prove the skeptics wrong one quarter at a time. That is why I keep buying.
